Thank you again for making Storyteller: A Tanith Lee Tribute Anthology a reality! Everyone should now have their books in hand. If you loved the book (like we do!), we'd be thrilled if you left a review. All those online reviews help other readers find their way to this book!
We’re available to review on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes & Noble, BookBub, and The StoryGraph.
And please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We would love to hear from you. It was a thrill to connect with some of you at Readercon in July. This is truly a wonderful community!

Shipping and Receiving
Showing our appreciation never gets old. Once again, thank you so much for your support! The vast majority of backers who opted for the print version have now received their copy of Storyteller. A small percentage are currently in transit. (Yes, we've been checking and tracking. One of our distribution options hiccuped and held books in stasis for over a week while I ran around troubleshooting--an absolute hair-on-fire moment!) Thankfully, for those who are still without Storyteller, we expect you'll receive your book before the end of the month.
This wouldn't have happened without you
So much has gone right with this project. And even more has exceeded our expectations! Between Kickstarter backers and general orders, there are almost 800 copies of this amazing anthology out in the world.
Storyteller Event
If you happen to be attending Readercon in Burlington, Massachusetts this weekend, I hope you join us for the Storyteller group reading (Saturday at 6pm). And stop by the dealer room on Saturday or Sunday morning while I'm manning the Essential Dreams Press / Reckoning Press booth.
Warmly,

Happy Storyteller release week!
We genuinely cannot say thank you enough. Without your care and attention, Storyteller would have stayed as only an idea, never spilling onto page. We hope that you love this tribute to Tanith Lee as much as we do, and know that it would not have been possible without each and every one of you.

- Be one of the first 25 people to post a picture of Storyteller and tag Essential Dreams Press for free custom Tanith Lee stickers!

First of all, thank you! You are the reason this project reached the finish line. There are so many indie projects out there. You didn't have to back this one, and I am incredibly appreciative that you did!
The ebook version of Storyteller: A Tanith Lee Tribute Anthology
For all backers who selected reward tiers that included a book (nearly every single one of you!), you should have received a notification from BackerKit giving you access to the ebook. One download is for Kindle readers. The second download is for those who use a different reading app/device. You're of course welcome to download both versions if you'd like to skip between the two. (When reading, as with most things in life, you definitely should do you.)
Online reviews and ratings equal love
If you feel so moved, you can share your thoughts on the book right now. Storyteller is already listed on Goodreads, BookBub, and The StoryGraph.
Once it officially goes live on July 1st, you'll be able to add your ratings and/or thoughts at various online retailers such as bn.com and amazon.com.
Mostly though, I hope you find this anthology both a fitting tribute to Tanith Lee and a great collection of fiction in its own right. These authors really poured out their hearts into their stories.
The Print Book
For those of you who selected a backer tier with the print version of Storyteller, Julia and I will be shipping them out on July 1st.
All other rewards and add-ons have been sent out at this point, many soon after the Kickstarter itself.
Please reach out if you have any questions or any trouble with the downloads!
I and the rest of the Storyteller family appreciate each and every one of you!
Warmly,
Julie

Storyteller: A Tanith Lee Tribute is mere weeks away from its release! Behind the scenes I've been working on logistics, figuring out the shipping for the print book and the best way to deliver the eversion.
In order to get the book to you as quickly as possible, I will be releasing the ebook to backers approximately two weeks before the print book begins to ship on July 1st. Those of you who've purchased the print version will have the option of starting Storyteller before your print copy even arrives.
Your Orders Are Now Locked
On Monday (noonish EST), all backers should have received a an email from BackerKit (our pledge fulfillment system) notifying you that your orders will be locked in 48 hours. Your book preorders locked yesterday. (Phew! It worked. I'm once again learning new software skills to sort this project.) If you want to add to your order and you missed the deadline, you can also use the preorder store hosted on BackerKit.
In a few days, I'll be initiating charges for shipping & handling (plus any additions you may have selected) using the credit card information you provided when you filled out the post Kickstarter survey. You should be notified if there is a problem and should be able to update your credit card information at that point. If you want to get ahead of the game and you don't remember how to access BackerKit (which would absolutely be me in your shoes!) you can use your original survey link to make any necessary updates.
At this point all of your addresses in BackerKit are still updateable. I'll be locking them after I complete all final charges. You will receive a notification 48 hours prior to the addresses being locked in case you need to update anything.
Shipping & Handling
The authors in Storyteller were committed to this project. I worked hard with the invited authors to help them realize their vision. A number of the stories are longer than the expected 5,000 word limit and all the richer for it. It was an easy "yes" when they inquired if they could go over the limit. At 384 pages, Storyteller is an immersive delight.
In the end, my original Kickstarter estimates for shipping and handling were too optimistic. In the last year, the cost of everything has gone up more than many expected, including me. Additionally, the book itself is longer (and therefore heavier) than I expected, moving it to a higher shipping rate.
For the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, and Australia only
- One book within the US: $11.25 USD
- One book in all other listed countries above: $12.00 USD
- Each additional book: $3/ Book USD
There are a handful of backers located in other countries, which I will have to ship internationally. For these countries, the shipping and handling is as follows:
- One book: $15 USD
- Each additional book: $4/ Book USD
This is the first time I've used BackerKit for fulfillment, and I'm not the only one, I'm sure! If you have any issues with updating your information or questions about whether your address and charge information are all set, please reach out to me. You have all been integral in making this vision a reality and I want to make sure that everything goes well!
Last night I recieved the first actual (non-ARC) copies of the book. It's a pretty unbelievable feeling. I can't wait to get it into your hands!
Warmly,
Julie
